Interested in becoming an educator?
Start your journey at ECTC with affordable tuition, top-notch programs, and individual attention.
The Education program at ECTC is designed to fold into an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree so that students complete their general education requirements and then transfer to a four-year college or university for a bachelor’s degree with pre-mapped pathways!
What are my career choices?
Choose a four-year college/university to which you will transfer in order to finish your degree and certification requirements. It is important to make this decision as soon as possible since the institutions have differing specific requirements.
ECTC has numerous partnerships with 4-year universities. If you are interested in a transfer pathway in this field, check out our partnering university pathways. Find more information on transferring from ECTC.
Field Licensure Requirements
Students will need to transfer to a four-year school where they can obtain their certification as a teacher. This will ultimately require testing based upon the requirements of the Education Professional Standards Board of Kentucky.
Where do I start?
Apply for admission to ECTC to receive information from the Admissions Office about submitting your placement test scores (ACT or other exams) and to schedule a meeting with an advisor to register for your classes.
Length of Program
You can earn an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.
