Academic Affairs

Welcome from the Provost

Welcome to the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, where I am privileged and honored to serve as the Provost and Chief Academic Officer! ECTC students represent some of the highest achieving, talented, and engaged students from across the Commonwealth. We are tremendously proud of our students and their achievements, and hope that you will choose ECTC to be part of your education and future!

For over fifty years, ECTC has been the College of first choice for students throughout our twelve-county service region. Innovative and relevant academic and training programs in state-of-the-art facilities help prepare students for success in the workforce, and in their pursuit of advanced degrees. At ECTC, we are committed to providing our students with high quality instruction and holistic academic and student support services. We strive to build lasting and meaningful relationships with our students, who are central to everything we do. Our students are part of the ECTC family, and with us, begin the academic and professional journey that positively shapes their futures.

ECTC works with students and helps them to develop as self-aware, globally cognizant, community-oriented, productive, and intelligent individuals. After graduation, ECTC students go on to be successful in their pursuit of advanced degrees or enter the workforce as accomplished professionals.

ECTC takes great pride in being an integral member of our community and profoundly appreciates the community’s broad and deep support. When communities partner with higher education institutions, a powerful association is forged. Because of these partnerships, ECTC students have expanded educational opportunities, and access to workforce professionals who serve as mentors and provide real world workplace experiences. When students come to ECTC, they have instant access to premier educational opportunities, a supportive collegiate environment, and many avenues for academic, intellectual, personal, and professional growth!

The College’s premier faculty are widely recognized as leaders in their disciplines, providing creative and meaningful learning experiences that are representative of the finest instruction and scholarship in contemporary postsecondary education. Workforce professionals mentor students and offer real-world workplace experiences. ECTC’s dedicated staff helps provide a supportive collegiate environment that contributes to the intellectual, personal, and professional growth of students.

Strong, productive partnerships with government, business and industry, and civic leaders help support critical workforce and economic development initiatives in the communities we serve.

As ECTC embarks on its second half-century of service, the College’s commitment to students and communities remains strong and steadfast. ECTC works to ensure that our students receive a premier education, are prepared to seek additional education (if desired), or successfully enter the workforce, while growing into confident, curious, self-reliant, independent thinkers.

Sincerely,
