Library Services
Students attending ECTC classes at Fort Knox or the other Off Campus locations will find that we offer a host of library services.
- Barr Memorial Library
Students attending classes at the Education Center on Fort Knox can use the Barr Memorial Library, which is conveniently located across the street from the Education Center.
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Thursday from 11:00am - 8:00pm
Friday - Saturday from 11:00am - 6:00pm

- ECTC Library Online Databases
All Off Campus students can now access the ECTC Library's Restricted Access Databases online using their KCTCS user account. Here's how:
1. Use the link above to access the ECTC Library web site
2. Locate and click the Off-Campus Users link next to the database you wish to investigate.
3. On the ECTC Proxy Server page, type in your KCTCS user ID and password.
4. You can then access and search that database.

All Off Campus students can use the ECTC Library on main campus. The library is located in the James M. Collier Learning Resources Center. Please visit the Web site for more information.

number of resources that are designed for all Off Campus students.

Local Community Libraries
ECTC has Library Service Agreements (LSA) with the Hardinsburg, Brandenburg, Leitchfield, and Bardstown libraries that will allow students signed up for ECTC Off Campus classes to check out books even when they normally would be considered outside the service area. The LSA also allows students to access interlibrary loan services and use other services offered by the libraries, such as computers.
Computer Lab
The Off Campus Programs Computer Lab is located on the 3rd floor of the Fort Knox Education Center in Room 303.

Equipment
- The lab contains 24 Gateway computers equipped with
- 3.2 GHz Pentium 4
- 1 GB RAM
- 17-in flat panel monitors
Each computer is running Windows XP Professional SP2 and provides the Office 2003 Professional suite (Access, Excel, FrontPage, InfoPath, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word).
A LaserJet printer allows students to print free of charge.
Headphones are available upon request.
Students are encouraged to
purchase and use USB flash drives to store and transport files.
Email
Students can access their Email accounts from on campus computers as well as at home by using the the KCTCS Outlook Web Access system (a.k.a WebMail)
PeopleSoft Accounts
Students can access all of their account information online through the PeopleSoft Student Self Service Web site. You can check your grades, view your schedule, check on the status of your financial aid, and even make tuition payments.
