What is COMPASS?

COMPASS®/ESL is a comprehensive computerized adaptive testing system that helps place students into appropriate courses and maximizes the information postsecondary schools need to ensure student success. COMPASS®/ESL offers placement and diagnostic testing in mathematics, reading, and writing, and now includes placement testing for English as a Second Language (ESL) students. ACT has combined COMPASS and ESL measures with advising, course placement, and retention services into one complete package.

For more information on the COMPASS Test, requirements, and scheduling, contact the Assessment Center at (270) 769-2371, extension 68661. Office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST Monday through Friday.
