Upward Bound Academic Coordinator

As a first generation college student, Lauren Jerbich was unsure of where she wanted to go to college or what to study.

"I had no idea that when I started college that my life would be transformed in so many ways."

"My first semester at ECTC, I was a computer programming major, until I realized that my personality did not fit the career."

"I became very involved with the Student Government Association, the Toy Box Theatre, and the Student Ambassadors. I loved being involved … I wanted to be a college student for the rest of my life."

"One day a student affairs professional sat down to talk to me about the possibility of a career in student affairs. I had found my calling! I wanted to work in higher education, more specifically with KCTCS!"

"Although my path to discovering my dream career is a curvy one, if I did not attend ECTC I doubt I would have ever discovered it."

"My life was transformed by ECTC, and I am now working with high school students to transform their lives through higher education."
