Steve Davis made a commitment to himself to improve the lives of young people by helping break the cycles of crime, incarceration and recidivism through rehabilitation and opportunity.
"I served for more than a decade as a pastor, eight years in Adult and Juvenile Corrections, before I was injured in a job-related accident. I know how important it is in the lives of youth, their families and the future of our society, to never give up your hope or vision."
"ECTC has given me the opportunity to earn a degree in a field where my heart is, Criminal Justice with an emphasis on juveniles. Accomplishing my educational goals will open new doors of opportunity for inspiring positive changes into young lives."
Returning to college after a career of service to others was a challenge Steve accepted enthusiastically and successfully, earning a 4.0 grade point average and numerous awards and scholarships based on academics, leadership and community service. "Because of ECTC I now have unlimited possibilities to serve at-risk youth. I am very thankful for ECTC and its magnificent faculty, which made my goal obtainable. I’m glad ECTC is here to afford others this same reality of accomplishment and fulfillment".
