Higher Education Begins Here!
Elizabethtown Campus
Progress at Work
ECTC´s Elizabethtown Campus is growing! Construction has begun on Phase II of the Central Regional Postsecondary Education Center. This 80,000 square-foot building will provide a central location for Student Services, for easy access to students. It will also house allied health programs, as well as state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, a 280-seat tiered classroom, the Community and Economic Development Center, and administrative offices, allowing ECTC to serve more students than ever.

During the construction process, we will experience some modifications of traffic patterns, and access to certain parking lots and building entrances will be limited. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, and ask you to bear with us as we work toward improving our campus facilities. With progress we can expect some "growing pains", which we hope to minimize as much as possible by communicating important information. We welcome your ideas, questions and concerns.

Below you will find information on the construction project that may affect access to certain areas on campus. We will update this site with any changes regularly, so please feel free to visit here frequently, and let us know if you have any questions.
Construction will begin in June, kicked off by a public groundbreaking ceremony on June 10 at 3 p.m. The following changes will be made in June:

We have been meeting and will continue to meet with various areas of the campus including academic, student affairs, and Western Kentucky University (WKU) to develop a plan and strategies to communicate important information to faculty, staff, students and the general public.
With progress we will experience some "growing pains". We hope to minimize those pains as much as possible with your assistance and your input. Below are some important dates and early construction notes that will help you navigate around campus during construction.
  • Staging of construction equipment - Parking Lot "D"
  • Installation of construction fence
  • Temporary closure of roads during construction
    • Entrance 2 will be closed to incoming and outgoing traffic
    • Internal road from Entrance 2 to parking lot "J" at AT Building will be closed to vehicular traffic to serve as sidewalk for pedestrians between AT Building (ATB) and Regional Postsecondary Center (RPC)/OT Building (OTB).
    • Temporary sidewalk will be built from parking lot "J" to internal service road.
    • Installation of temporary road from inside Entrance 4 to parking lot "E".
