Listed below are directions on how to activate your email account and user ID for college networks.

Activating your Email:

Employee E-mail accounts must be activated by the Campus E-mail Security Officer, Ron Dickerson. You will need to visit his office, Room 104b in the Academic Technical Building and you will need to present him with a photo ID.

Fort Knox employees may see Greg Shultz and present their photo ID, he will contact the security officer for you once he has verified your identity.

Checking your Email:

Browse to the following link to access your email account:
https://webmail.kctcs.edu/exchange

You will be prompted to enter your username and password.

Your username will be the first letter of your first name followed by your last name and a series of four numeric digits.
Example: John Public, JPublic0001

Employees with the same first initial and last name will be uniquely identified by the last four numeric digits of their username
Example: JPublic0001, JPublic0002, JPublic0003, etc.

Changing your Password:

Your password will expire every 90 days. (If you log in to our domain, the system will prompt you to change it several days prior to the expiration.)

All passwords must meet the complexity requirements as listed below:

Cannot contain all or part of the user's account name.
-
Be at least eight characters in length.
-
Be different from prior passwords.
-
Not contain your first or last name.

Contain characters from three of the following four categories:

English uppercase characters (A through Z)
-
English lowercase characters (a through z)
-
Base 10 digits (0 through 9)

Symbolic characters (e.g., !, $, #, %)

Problems with your email account.

If your password has expired, or you have reset your password and now you are having troubles, please contact Ron Dickerson, 104b Academic Technical Building, Stuart Gross or Michael Meanor,109 C Occupational Technical Building. (You will need to show a photo ID to get your password reset.)
