Respiratory Therapists work as important members of the health care team.
They provide treatments, perform diagnostic tests, and teach patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Most Therapists are employed in pulmonary medicine or respiratory care departments of hospitals.
Others are employed by home health agencies, nursing homes and physicians offices.
