Citing Sources
Electronic Resources
- EBSCO - while you are searching in the
EBSCO databases, click on
HELP in the upper right corner. A dialog box will appear, with a Table of
Contents on the left and text on the right. Click on Styles of Citation, select
MLA or APA as desired, and the format, along with an example will appear in the
right of the dialog box.
- Thomson-Gale (InfoTrac) - While you are searching in one of the
InfoTrac
databases, click on HELP - SEARCH in the blue column on the left of the
screen. Click on HELP INDEX. Scroll down until you see the question How do I
cite an article under What do you need? Scroll down until you see examples of
citing InfoTrac articles in the MLA or APA format.
- NewsBank -while you are searching in one of the
NewsBank databases, click on the word
HELP in the upper right corner. Click on How to Cite
NewsBank in the menu on the left of the screen. Click on APA or MLA. Scroll down
the screen for examples.
- CQ Researcher - when you have an
CQ Researcher article up on the screen, click on
CiteNow!
immediately below the grey Table of Contents field. A pop-up screen will appear
with the citation format for APA style. Click on MLA in order to bring up the
citation format for MLA style.
- Facts.com. When you are searching the
Facts.com databases, click on Help in the upper right corner of the screen. Scroll down
until you see How to Cite Facts On File World News Digest @ FACTS.com
